Common Questions
What is Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)?
PBS is a person-centred, neuroaffirming framework that understands behaviour as a form of communication. We work with you to understand the “why” and create practical, real-world strategies that improve daily life and overall wellbeing.
How do we support Neurodivergent individuals?
Our practice is entirely neuroaffirming. This means we don’t try to change who a person is. Instead, we adapt environments and provide skill-building that respects a person’s unique sensory profile and communication style.
Where do sessions occur?
We provide mobile support across Melbourne. We visit you in the environments that matter most — home, school, daycare, or community settings — because that is where support is most effective and meaningful.
How do I start a referral?
Referrals are open for families and Support Coordinators. You can click 'Make a Referral' on our website or email us at info@affectbsp.com.au. We focus on clarity and trust throughout the intake journey.
